● Miss Roberts made her European debut in Saarbrücken as Sieglinde in “Walküre” and has since then performed at almost all of the international opera houses in major roles: her debuts as the Dyer’s Wife in “Frau ohne Schatten” at the New York Metropolitan Opera and Elektra at the Chicago Lyric Opera; Elektra, Senta, Venus at the Dresden Semper Oper; Elektra and Senta at the Stuttgart State Opera; Elektra, Senta, Dyer’s Wife at the Hamburg State Opera; Elektra at the Bavarian State Opera Munich; Salome and Claire at the Vienna State Opera; Venus at the Maggio Musicale, Florence,), Brünnhilde (“Siegfried”) at the Bayreuth Festival (where she also sang Helmwige in “Walküre") etc.

● Recent highlights include performances at the Bonn Opera in Germany in the role of Ortrud in “Lohengrin”, conducted by Wolfgang Ott; in concert in Stockholm, May 21, 2004, Berlioz’ “Les Nuits d’Eté” with orchestra, the “10 Dvorak Songs” and Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” at the Heilig-Geist Church and Matthäus Church in Mannheim, Germany, at the Crystal Cathedral in Los Angeles, California and in the Cathedrale Notre Dame in Chartres, France in the soprano role in Dvorak’s “Stabat Mater”.
● On November 4, 2001 Brenda Roberts debuted in the world premiere of the „Divine Liturgy“ by Rouben Gregorian in the Boston Symphony Hall with soloists of the New York Metropolitan Opera and members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
● Other recent highlights include her debut (2000) at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Sicily, where she portrayed Schönberg’s “Erwartung”, Senta at the Dresden Semper Opera and Stuttgart State Opera, Elektra at the Bavarian State Opera Munich and Turandot at the Saarbrücken State Opera.
● In addition, Brenda Roberts is much in demand as concert singer. Her repertoire includes the soprano role in “War Requiem” (Speyer Dom - televised live in Südwestfunk, in Bonn’s Beethoven Halle, etc.); Zemlinsky’s “Lyrische Symphonie“; die Agave in Wellesz’s „Bacchantinnen “ (Vienna Konzerthaus broadcast live in Austrian radio); Hindemith’s “Drei Gesänge für Sopran und Orchester” Op.9 (Frankfurt); and the 1st soprano role in Mahler’s “Symphony No. 8” (Salzburg, Ludwigshafen, etc.). She has sung the soprano roles in Haydn’s “Creation”, Händel’s “Messiah”, Dvorak’s and Rossini’s “Stabat Mater”.
● In recital work, she is known for her interpretation of Wagner’s “Wesendonck Lieder”, Mahler’s “Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen”, Strauss Lieder (also“Orphelia” and “Goethe” Lieder), Schreker, Poulenc, Wolf, etc.
