Liederabend, Worms, April 2007:
"Als
faszinierendes musikalisches Ereignis erwies sich der 'Liederabend Brenda
Roberts' in der Wormser Lutherkirche. ... Dass für eine hochdramatische
Sopranistin, die sich in ihren Bühnenpartien über die große Orchesterbesetzung
bei Richard Wagner und Richard Strauß stimmlich erheben muss, der Raum der
Lutherkirche keine Herausforderung darstellt, war zu erwarten. Doch mit
gleicher Souveränität neben kraftvoll strahlendem Forte zart schwebende
Applaus" (Lothar Hechler, Wormser Zeitung)
Brenda Roberts sang in a Star-Gala Concert in the Friedrich-Ebert Hall in Ludwigshafen on March 18, 2005 opera arias. "Strongly-expressive...and also in the Senta Ballade from Flying Dutchman she was brilliant, especially in the intense dramatic passages..." Mannheimer Morgen 20.3.2005

Star-Gala Concert on March 18, 2005 in the Friedrich-Ebert Hall in Ludwigshafen
"...Brenda Roberts, once a Bayreuth Bruennhilde, proved a bright-voiced,
focused singer..."The Boston Globe - 06.11.2001
(World Premiere of Rouben Gregorian's Divine Liturgy)
"Brenda Roberts... presented a late romantic program. From
the very beginning the first tones of the evening were already impressive in
their perfection. She sang the “Songs of a Wayfarer” of Gustav Mahler so
effortlessly that it seemed her voice had no limits in range and power. With
just as much warmth and brilliance she presented the Wesendonck Songs written
from the pen of the young, romantic Richard Wagner. Especially the first one,
“Der Engel” was of tremendous magical beauty." Mainzer Allgemeine Zeitung - 15.05.2001 "Now a cast was presented that made a fury! Brenda Roberts
is a perfect representative of Elektra, sining all the great outbursts
naturally and effortlessly." (Dresden Semper Opera) "Brenda Roberts obtained a sensational success as the
Dyer's Wife in 'Frau ohne Schatten' at the Met. Her success was based on a
vocally extraordinary archievement as well as showing a convincing dramatic
understanding of the role. As the Dyer's Wife, in shy humility as well as wild
ecstasy, Brenda Roberts commanded the same rank as a Lotte Lehmann, Marianne
Schech, Christl Goltz and Inge Borkh." (Robert Breuer, AUFBAU) "The Roberts voice is opulent, large, extraordinarily
beautiful, and made to order for the big, dramatic roles" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE)
